Conclusion

"Every moment of happiness, every moment of sadness, every kindness, every critical thought adds its consequences to the blueprint of the world."

        Harry Palmer

We now come to the end of our journey. We have explored many of the elements that give the spiritual counselor the framework to create a transformative practice. By studying and practicing these elements and through working openly and honestly with clients, the counselor will provide a valuable service to humanity – helping to heal the individual as well as raising the consciousness of humankind. This is a holy and sacred task, and it must be approached with due reverence.

The counselor must be sensitive to the needs of the client and engage himself in the client’s agenda. The counselor must be genuine, open, and vulnerable with himself and with his client. The counselor must be ethical and possess the highest moral virtue, and the counselor must also learn to appreciate diversity and hold the client with unconditional positive regard. The counselor must be empathic and understanding. At the back of the counselor’s mind must always be a philosophy that supports the growth of the individual and the transformation of humanity, one person at a time. I wish you well on your journey!
